You’ve all heard of clairvoyance. Right? Originating from Clair – clear, voyance – vision, it means being able to gain knowledge of someone or something through means other than the normal human visual sense. Lesser known are Clairaudience (no, not Clair is the audience) and Clairsentience.
Clairaudience is the ability to hear beyond the normal range of hearing and beyond the use of ears themselves. You could say the sound is picked up as a projection in the mind.
There are two types of Clairaudience; subjective and objective, subjective being internally heard in the mind, objective is heard externally, the sound does not sound like it’s coming from the mind but around a person. Just as if a person was talking to you, the sound is outside of oneself. While schizophrenia comes to mind when talking about hearing voices, the sounds don’t necessarily have to be speaking; clearing of the throat, whistling, humming can be heard. It has been said that this kind of clarity may start with a buzzing, clicking, whooshing sounds, but then again it could just be tinnitus.
Clairsentience is the ability to “feel” beyond the five senses; to pick up on emotions, to sense energy vibrations from another person whether good or bad. This may be accompanied by tingling sensations in the head, hands, face, body or a tightness/ pressure, like a band around the head.
While these sensations and noises are all well and good, what do they mean? How is one to interpret a feeling of tightness around the head?
Even lesser known “clair’s” include clairalience – accessing psychic knowledge through smelling. Claircognizance or knowing – I’m not sure how this is different from clairvoyance. And my favorite, clairgustance: which is the knowledge of how things taste without tasting them.
We are all made up of energy as is everything around us, so picking up the energy of a person or an object or a food shouldn’t be that surprising, in fact I think it’s normal for us to do so. I believe that, as humans, our intelligence and rational minds often get in the way of these “Talents.” Animals don’t have such filters and therefore are more prone to reacting to feelings – energy they pick up on from us.
Clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, clairgustance, etc., I believe are natural states that we have to relearn after indoctrination by our “reality.” We all have the abilities, we just have to pay better attention to what is already there.
